HubSpot vs Salesforce vs levelpartner.ai

HubSpot vs Salesforce comes down to who runs your pipeline: marketing or a structured sales organisation. Below is how they compare on price, billing, automation, messaging, AI and onboarding, where each one wins, and when levelpartner.ai is the better third option.

Prices checked on 16 October 2026
Who each product is for

Two different ideas of what a CRM is

HubSpot sells one customer platform in four editions, priced per seat, with marketing, sales and service in the same product. It is built so a team can start free and grow into it. Usage beyond the plan, such as workflow actions and bulk email, draws on HubSpot Credits.

Salesforce sells Sales Cloud in editions from a free suite to Max, priced per user. It is built for depth: custom objects, apps, sandboxes, territories and forecasting. Above the entry suite, it is sold on annual terms, and AI is mostly an add-on.

levelpartner.ai is the third option on this page because many companies with 10 to 250 staff compare these two and find neither fits. It is one licence with unlimited users, CRM, messaging, booking, workflows and AI agents included.

Marketing feeds sales

Most deals start with content, email or the website. HubSpot keeps that journey and the deal on one record.

Sales is the machine

Territories, approvals, forecasts and several teams. Salesforce is built to be shaped around that process.

Someone owns the system

Salesforce pays off when a person owns its configuration. Without one, its depth goes unused.

Everyone needs access

If office staff, managers and sales all need logins, per-seat pricing on either becomes the biggest line.

Marketing or sales?

Free start or deep setup.

Count every seat.

HubSpot

HubSpot: strengths and limits

The easier start, and the better fit when marketing is your engine.

Where HubSpot beats Salesforce

  • Marketing is in the same platform. With Salesforce, marketing automation is a separate product with its own price.
  • A free plan with ticket routing and Breeze Assistant, and a Starter edition that does not require paid onboarding.
  • Starter already includes calling, email campaigns, website chat and AI meeting recording.
  • Monthly billing is available on Starter and Professional.

Where HubSpot falls short

  • Starter is capped on seats, so a growing team is pushed to Professional, where the per-seat price jumps.
  • Advanced automation and custom reports start at Professional, which also requires paid onboarding.
  • Workflow actions and bulk email draw on credits, so heavy automation raises the bill.
  • SMS is an add-on limited to US numbers. Teams outside the US should check before they plan text follow-up.
Salesforce

Salesforce: strengths and limits

The deeper tool, and the better fit when sales is a structured organisation.

Where Salesforce beats HubSpot

  • Configuration depth: unlimited custom apps, Lightning App Builder and developer sandboxes from Pro Suite, a full sandbox on Advanced and Max.
  • Enterprise sales tools from Core: territories, opportunity splits, consumption forecasting and pipeline inspection.
  • A large app ecosystem through AppExchange and AgentExchange, and full offline mobile from Pro Suite.
  • Starter Suite has no user maximum, so a large team can start on the entry edition.

Where Salesforce falls short

  • Everything from Pro Suite up is billed annually, and Pro Suite needs a contract.
  • Flow Builder automation is missing from Starter Suite and capped on Pro Suite.
  • AI is an add-on below Max, priced per user.
  • The success plan is charged as a share of licence fees, so support scales with your bill. See the table.
Beyond the seat price

Five lines to price before you compare totals

HubSpot and Salesforce both publish a per-seat price. Neither seat price is the whole bill. Ask each vendor for these five in writing.

Marketing automation

HubSpot includes email campaigns from Starter, in the same platform as the CRM. Salesforce sells marketing automation as a separate product with its own annual price. If marketing feeds your pipeline, this one line can decide the whole comparison.

Onboarding and success

HubSpot requires paid onboarding on Professional and Enterprise. Salesforce charges its success plan as a share of licence fees, included from Core.

Credits

HubSpot workflow actions and bulk email draw on monthly credits. Salesforce includes Flex Credits for its AI from Core. Ask what overage costs.

AI

HubSpot names Breeze Assistant on every plan and several agents above it. Salesforce AI is an add-on below Max, priced per user.

Text messages outside the US

HubSpot SMS add-ons send from US numbers only. The Salesforce pages we checked do not cover SMS. Teams outside the US should ask both.

levelpartner.ai

levelpartner.ai: the third option

For companies that find HubSpot too expensive per seat and Salesforce too much to configure.

Where it differs from both

  • One licence with unlimited users and contacts, so adding the tenth or the fiftieth person costs nothing.
  • SMS, WhatsApp, calls, booking and AI chat agents are part of the platform, not add-ons, with usage billed as used.
  • 30 hours of onboarding included; most clients go live in two to four weeks.
  • Built for companies with 10 to 250 staff, not for a global sales organisation.

Where HubSpot or Salesforce fits better

  • No free tier and no monthly plan. A team of two or three pays less on either free or entry plan.
  • If you need sandbox environments, sales territories and opportunity splits, choose Salesforce.
  • If you want named prospecting, content and customer AI agents from the same vendor as your marketing tools, HubSpot is worth the seat price.
  • Check your must-have integrations before you switch.
Which to choose if

HubSpot vs Salesforce: which to choose if

Choose HubSpot if

Marketing generates most of your pipeline, you want marketing, sales and service in one product, and you are comfortable paying per seat and buying onboarding once you reach Professional.

Choose Salesforce if

You run a structured sales organisation with territories, forecasting and approvals, you have someone to own the configuration, and annual contracts suit your budgeting.

Choose levelpartner.ai if

You have 10 to 250 staff, want everyone in the system without counting seats, and need follow-up, booking and messaging running within weeks. See the all-in-one platform.

Keep what you have if

Your current CRM is used every day and the follow-up already happens. A switch costs time and data clean-up; it only pays when the current system is the reason growth has stalled.

Before you sign

What to check in a HubSpot or Salesforce trial

HubSpot has a free plan and Salesforce a free suite and a trial. Use them on your own work, on the edition you would actually buy.

In a HubSpot trial

  • Build your main follow-up as a workflow and ask how many credits a month of it would use.
  • Check whether the automation and reports you need sit in Starter or only in Professional.
  • If you sell outside the US, confirm how you would send text messages.
  • Ask what the required onboarding costs for your edition before you budget.

In a Salesforce trial

  • Ask who in your business will own the configuration, and how many hours a week that takes.
  • Check whether your automation fits the flow cap on Pro Suite or needs Core.
  • Price the success plan, AI and marketing automation on top of the licence.
  • Read the contract term and renewal date before you sign.
What levelpartner.ai costs

What levelpartner.ai costs

The licence is €7,512 a year, with every feature available, unlimited users and unlimited contacts. It includes 30 hours of onboarding and a 30-day check-in after launch. Work beyond the included hours is €85 an hour, scoped and approved before it is billed. Email, SMS, WhatsApp and call minutes are billed as used, with no minimum. See full pricing and usage rates.

Migration

Moving off HubSpot or Salesforce

Both export contacts, companies and deals cleanly. The hard part is what is not a record: HubSpot workflows and sequences, Salesforce flows and approval processes, and the reports your managers rely on.

The effort is not the same. A HubSpot account is usually lighter to leave: the logic lives in workflows, sequences and lists you can read in one place. A Salesforce org that someone has configured for years takes longer, because custom objects, fields and approval chains have to be mapped and some redesigned before anything moves. Check your Salesforce contract end date before you plan the switch.

Start with an inventory. List every automation and report, who uses it and what breaks if it stops. Keep the ones that earn their place and drop the rest.

Clean before you import. Merge duplicates, archive dead records and agree which fields and pipeline stages survive.

Rebuild, then run in parallel briefly. Rebuild the automations you kept, run both systems for a short overlap on live deals, then switch the old one off.

On levelpartner.ai this sits inside the 30 included onboarding hours for most companies. A typical full build lands at 30 to 60 hours; anything beyond 30 is quoted before it starts. The CRM migration checklist has the full list, and the CRM comparison adds Pipedrive to the table.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

Is HubSpot cheaper than Salesforce?

At the entry level, often yes, especially while HubSpot's Starter promotion runs. The comparison that matters is the edition where the automation you need starts: Professional on HubSpot, Core on Salesforce, where the flow cap stated for Pro Suite no longer applies. Add HubSpot's required onboarding and credits, and Salesforce's success plan and AI add-ons, before you decide. The table has both price lists.

Which is easier to use, HubSpot or Salesforce?

HubSpot is designed to start without configuration, with a free plan and a Starter edition that needs no paid onboarding. Salesforce is designed to be configured, with app builders and sandboxes, which pays off when someone in your business owns that configuration.

Can I send SMS from HubSpot or Salesforce outside the US?

HubSpot's SMS add-ons, as published in its standard catalog, send from US numbers only. The Salesforce pages we checked do not cover SMS, so ask Salesforce directly. On levelpartner.ai, SMS and WhatsApp are part of the platform with usage billed as used.

HubSpot vs Salesforce for a company with 10 to 250 staff?

If marketing feeds your sales team, HubSpot. If you have a structured sales organisation with territories and forecasting, Salesforce. If you want every person in the system without per-seat pricing, and messaging and AI agents included, compare both against levelpartner.ai's single licence.

How long does it take to move from HubSpot or Salesforce?

Most levelpartner.ai clients go live in two to four weeks. The time goes on cleaning data and rebuilding the automations you keep, and it fits inside the 30 included onboarding hours for most companies.

Which has better AI, HubSpot or Salesforce?

They package it differently. HubSpot puts Breeze Assistant on every plan, including the free one, and names prospecting, customer and content agents on its pricing page. Salesforce names Agentforce for lead nurture, prospecting and sales emails, plus conversation intelligence and scoring, from Core, and sells AI as an add-on below Max. Test the one task you most want AI to do, on the edition you would buy.

Do I need an administrator to run Salesforce?

You need someone who owns it. Salesforce is built to be configured, with app builders, custom objects and sandboxes, and that depth is its main advantage over HubSpot. A company without a person to own that work tends to pay for configuration it never uses. HubSpot is designed to run with less of it.

How current is this HubSpot vs Salesforce comparison?

Every competitor figure was read on the vendor's own page on 16 October 2026 and is listed with its source below the table. Prices change without notice, so check the vendor's page before you buy.
