How to create a sales funnel website

A brochure website tells visitors who you are. A sales funnel website tells them what to do next, on every page, and records what they did. This article covers how to create a sales funnel website: a full company site where each page leads into a defined enquiry path, with every form, booking and click landing in your CRM. You build it in Sites on the levelpartner.ai platform, and the result is a website your sales team can read like a report instead of a site nobody looks at after launch.

What a sales funnel website is

The phrase covers two different builds, and choosing the wrong one wastes weeks. A funnel is a short sequence of pages built for one offer and one audience, usually reached from an ad or an email. A website is the permanent home of the business, reached from search, referrals and your own name.

A sales funnel website is the second, built with the discipline of the first. It still has a home page, service pages and an about page. The difference is that each page has one primary action, every action feeds the same contact database, and the paths from page to enquiry are designed rather than accidental.

Before you start

  • A list of your services, grouped by audience. If you serve agencies, consultants, mortgage brokers and real estate firms, decide whether each gets its own page.
  • One primary action for the whole site, usually booking a call or requesting a quote, and one secondary action, such as a download.
  • Access to your domain's DNS settings so you can connect it.
  • Pipeline stages in Opportunities ready to receive enquiries.

Write the page list on paper first. For most companies of 10 to 250 people, eight to fifteen pages is enough: home, one page per service or audience, about, contact, and a small number of resource pages.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Sites, open Websites and click + New Website.
  2. Choose From Templates or From Blank, then name the site.
  3. Click Create and preview the template designs if offered.
  4. Open each page in the Website Builder and edit it.
  5. Add one form or booking element per page.
  6. Check navigation links and both desktop and mobile layouts.
  7. Add a page title and meta description in SEO settings.
  8. Click Save, then exit the Website Builder.
  9. Open the Settings tab and click Connect Domain under Domain.
  10. Assign the domain in the Domain dropdown and click Save.
  11. Return to the builder, click Publish and test every form.

Website, funnel or both

You will often want both. The website handles visitors who arrive by searching your name or a service. Separate funnels handle campaigns, where a short focused path converts better than a full site with navigation. Both can sit on the same domain, and both write to the same contacts.

If your current website is fine but disconnected, you do not need to rebuild it. You can keep it and point its forms at the platform, then build funnels alongside it. The step-by-step guide to building a funnel website covers that hybrid route.

What it replaces and the weekly time

For many established firms, the website and the CRM were built by different people at different times. Enquiries arrive by email, someone copies them into the CRM if they remember, and nobody can say which page produced which client. A sales funnel website removes the copying because the form and the contact record are the same system.

Plan an hour a week. Review which pages produce enquiries, check that every new opportunity has an owner, and fix one weak page a month. That rhythm matters more than the launch.

Illustration: a 40-person estate agency with two offices

Say a firm builds a 12-page site with separate pages for sellers, landlords and buyers, each with its own form and tag. After two months, the reporting would show conversion to instruction by enquiry type. If landlord enquiries converted at twice the rate of seller enquiries, moving paid search budget towards the landlord page would be the sensible test.

The common mistake

Putting every action on every page. Booking, download, newsletter, chat and phone number all at once give the visitor five choices and most choose none. Choose one primary action per page and make the rest quieter.

When not to use it

If you need a single campaign page live this week, do not start with a full website build. Use a landing page creator approach instead and fold the page into the site later. Equally, if your existing site is complex, heavily content-led and maintained by a separate team, connecting its forms may be a better first step than replacing it.

Troubleshooting

The domain shows an old site after connecting. DNS changes can take a few hours to spread, and some old records may still point elsewhere. Check that the records match the values shown in Settings and remove any conflicting ones.

Forms submit but no opportunity is created. The workflow trigger filters by a form that was later duplicated or renamed. Re-select the live form in the trigger.

Pages look broken on phones. Sections built for desktop have fixed widths. Preview every page in mobile view and adjust the section settings before publishing.

Search engines still list old page addresses. Set redirects from each old path to its replacement so existing links keep working.

Frequently asked questions

How to create a sales funnel website free?

Free builders exist, but they usually leave the CRM, email, booking and automation for you to buy and connect separately. The platform is a single paid licence covering the website, funnels, CRM and messaging, so the comparison is total cost of the connected stack, not the price of the page builder alone.

Is a sales funnel website better than a normal website?

It is better at producing and tracking enquiries, which is the job most company websites are failing at. It is not better at being a library of content, so keep a blog section if content brings you traffic.

Can I add funnels later?

Yes. Most companies launch the website, then add campaign funnels for specific offers. The guide on how to build a funnel walks through a first campaign funnel.

How many pages should the site have?

As few as cover your services and audiences clearly. Eight to fifteen pages suits most firms of this size. Add pages when a service or audience deserves its own conversation, not to fill the menu.
